Election Fuels Obamacare Alternative, Puts Brakes on Medicaid Expansion

Although Obamacare turned out to be a political winner for Republicans on Election Day, at least two major challenges remain for the GOP in the health care arena.

First, Congressional Republicans must find a way forward that addresses public opposition to the law and the desire for a different approach, while also recognizing that President Obama is almost certain to veto any legislation reaching his desk that repeals or substantially scales back his signature domestic achievement.
